Guiding people to Intentional Community living |

|
Like a natural bioregion, an intentional community can survive if it is highly diverse, if it has a high degree of communication between individuals, and if the participants complement and support each other. With that premise, intentional community is a way of living that is complex enough to incorporate all aspects of the CO’s (politically correct term to define any individual from the community whether male or female), including our longing for meaning, truthful communication, for love without pretense, for solidarity, for acceptance of our sexual nature, and for a fulfilling our missions as much as for our search in spirituality.
Among the many important factors that contribute to the preservation of our lifestyle, two are highlighted:
The autonomous freedom and advancement of the individual, and The sacredness of love between two or more people.
In order to increase communication amongst us, our community we will use forum, music, festivities, meditation, drumming circles, hot tub gatherings, bon fires, talent shows, celebrations and other activities and rituals. We encourage and support direct and immediate interaction and loving feedback whenever possible in a caring manner. Forum is a ritual (ZEGG coined it) form of communication within our community where everybody can say, ask, or illustrate whatever moves him or her. During a forum, one may use art, theater or music, dance and any form of improve, authentic, spontaneous form of expression to express CO's thoughts and emotions, and to share them with others as authentically as possible, this is an example of many tools that we could use if we choose to. This creates the necessary transparency for living together and thus creates trust.
We are concerned with all forms of committed living styles that contribute to the fullest realization of the human potential for caring, intimacy, and growth. We do not press upon our members any specific behavior or values but encourage and support individual freedom and interpersonal responsibility and development of viable options for living.
We know that there is a way to live together, which is not based on violence (Any kind whether verbal, or physical), but on curiosity, contact, knowledge and love. Living together includes all relationships, those between humans as well as relationships with animals, with nature and with the spiritual world.
We firmly believe there is a way to live together, where the loving attention one person gives to another doesn't cause jealousy in a third person, but something else, we call it compersion. (Being happy for the happiness of someone we love; even if we are not actively/directly related to that particular situation) |
