“Looking Forward” a novel by Kenneth S. Keyes and Jacque Fresco.  204 pages.  http://www.RealEstateLoja.com/LookingForward.pdf  8.7 MB

At the beginning of the twenty-first century with so many reasons to believe that we are at the verge of a fall in civilization, it is quite refreshing to read a book from two very realistic visionaries who envision a very positive twenty-first century with the proper use of technology and social changes, ideas that can be put to practice now, among them is intentional community living.  Of special interest is the chapter titled “The Scientific Method” a subject ignored by many interested in living in an intentional community.

Jacque Fresco and Kenneth S. Keyes are the Jules Verne of the twenties century, they both predict a wonderful future that can be achieved in just a few years, if we all were to put our minds to it vs. making war machines and wasting valuable human precious time on war.

In their novel they tackle issues such as a moneyless society with NO government and plenty of robotic computer automation; they also predict how food production, sex, transportation, education, energy, medicine, generic gene manipulation, underwater housing and much more will be improved.  Though this novel was published in 1967, you will find that now more than ever it is possible to make the writers prediction into a living reality, IF only we all were to put our minds to it and work together towards one common goal.  If you are a StarTrek, fan this novel is for you…  If you are interested in making contact with alien species, it will give you a prospective of how they may be.

Here is an excerpt from the novel on community living: It is recognized that if each individual is to have a maximum of “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness,” there must be opportunity from full privacy to full community participation in all activities. One should be able to choose whatever meets his needs best at the time. All planning is determined by the varied and changing preferences of individuals, not by what someone else thinks is “good for them.”  Page 99 this is the model that the UEVN Federation proposes.

Jacque and Rosanne live a good life in Naples, Florida.  If you are ever around, I do recommend you visit them.  Their website is http://www.thevenusproject.com/

We have had the idea of writing a similar novel, but with a much more closer to today’s needs and realities, you can read about our idea at: www.uevn.org/gg
